Bespoke Music Studio – Private Client, Berkshire
Our client came to us with a brief of building high end studio space in his existing brick built double garage. We were excited to use our expertise and creative ideas on this project which involved, build, acoustic insulation, acoustic treatment, electrics, video and audio.
We started by studding out the walls to then be filled with special acoustic grade dense, Rockwool. This was then finished in 18mm heavy duty acoustic plaster board which was finally sealed with a skim of plaster.
We built an isolated floating floor on acoustic rubber matting topped with studding and was then filled with a cocktail of very dense insulation. The floor does not come into contact with the walls keeping it protected from acoustic vibrations travelling up the walls and throughout the rest of the space.
After the electrics and audio visual wiring was installed, we took detailed room measurements in order for us to get an idea on the kind of acoustic final treatment that the room required. We set about building custom corner bass trap acoustic insulation panels as well as the appropriate acoustic ceiling clouds and diffusers. Room measurements were also taken after the room was acoustically treated and adjustments were made to the acoustic treatment until we were happy with the results.
We specified a top of the range, super silent, Mobile App Controlled Mitsubishi Electric ducted digital climate control system which boasts high output with minimal noise.
Finally the audio and video wiring was terminated and the equipment installed along with some LED mood lighting and custom studio furniture.
